Diosas de la libertad
Every government interference in the economy consists of giving an unearned benefit, extorted by force, to some men at the expense of others.
If the primary objective of the philanthropist, is to help others, his ultimate good requires that others shall be in want. His happiness is the obverse of their misery. If he wishes to help ‘humanity,’ the whole of humanity must be in need. The humanitarian wishes to be a prime mover in the lives of others. He cannot admit either the divine or the natural order, by which men have the power to help themselves. The humanitarian puts himself in the place of God.
The need for Government is the need for force; where force is unnecessary, there is no need for Government.
Jennifer Burns escribió un libro sobre Ayn Rand titulado, «Diosa del Mercado: Ayn Rand y la derecha americana», con razón. Sin embargo, Ayn Rand no fue la única. Isabel Paterson, y Rose Wilder Lane, fueron otras dos mujeres, tan brillantes como Rand, fundamentales en la creación del movimiento libertario moderno, que son parte del olimpo liberal.
Un post dedicado a ellas, y a las que hoy siguen esa tradición, que como ellas, no son muchas, pero valen por un millón.
